The Short Stop Youth Centers
production team creates a number of unique and beautiful
items, including painted ceramic tiles, greeting cards,
silk-screened t-shirts, and soul bowls. Staff help young
people learn the creative and business skills involved
in art production. Also, young artists produce original
paintings for sale and have participated in community
activities such as Via Colori, the sidewalk
painting festival, and the Short/ROY Community Art
Day in the Short North.
All proceeds from product sales fund
the Short Stop Youth Center’s arts and leadership
programs, helping provide youth with creative and
educational opportunities while promoting leadership
skills, and values and abstinence from drugs and
alcohol, and values such as positive self-esteem and
respect.

Soul Bowl -
These brilliantly hand-painted wooden bowls are
decorated with butterflies, birds, or flowers. On the
rim of each bowl is a phrase written by the youth
artists, such as 'There is no such thing as someone
else's child' and 'Arms that hold a child hold
the world.' These 6" bowls will provide a delightful
and uplifting accent for your office or home!

Painted Ceramic Tile

Hand-painted in a similar style to the Soul Bowls, these
4”x4” tiles boast a variety of colorful butterflies and
flowers! Prop one up on a plate stand for display, or
buy several for a set of coasters. Either way, they will
brighten your day!

Assorted Greeting Cards -
Boxes of 20 greeting cards feature an assortment of
original artwork created by Short Stop youth. Cards are
blank inside for your custom message for any occasion.
