Directions for Youth & Families provides community-based treatment and prevention services and educational programs in Franklin County.

Candidates must be effective in providing group, individual, and/or family services with culturally diverse youth and adults, addressing issues such as substance abuse, delinquency, abuse/neglect, and domestic violence. Most services are provided using an outreach model in homes, schools, and community locations convenient to the client.

Positions include social workers, counselors, prevention specialists, therapists, case managers, and outreach workers. All program positions require a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field. Depending on the position, and LSW/LPC, LISW, LPCC, or CCDC credential may be required.

After School Arts/Health Coordinator

Directions for Youth & Families Short Stop Youth Center After School Program is looking for a full-time person to work with youth providing Group Arts, Cooking and Fitness Activities. Hours are M-F 3pm to 8pm.

Qualifications: BS/BA Degree is required. Must have experience working with youth and diverse populations.

Outreach Worker

Hiring a newly created position for the Anger Management Options program. The program works with youth 10-17 years old and their families with issues of anger management, decision-making and delinquency. This position requires excellent clinical and collaborative skills.

Qualified candidates will be able to provide mental health assessment, treatment planning, individual, group and family interventions in home, school and community settings. Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and LSW/PC required. Preference given to advanced degree, licensure and experience working with minority populations.
